Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using QuantQuest ("the Service"), a product of Sybil Pte Ltd ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
These Terms of Service apply to all users of the Service, including without limitation users who are financial advisers, their clients, members of the public who access adviser pages or complete assessments, browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.
2. Description of Service
QuantQuest provides a comprehensive financial planning platform designed for financial advisers in Singapore. Our services include:
- Cash flow analysis and projection tools
- Goal planning and tracking capabilities
- CPF (Central Provident Fund) analytics and optimization
- Net worth tracking and Investment Linked Policies visualization
- Client collaboration features
- Financial planning report generation
- Lead generation tools including personality assessments and public adviser profiles
Certain modules and features may be governed by additional terms. Where module-specific terms apply (such as the Public Hub Terms and Conditions), they will be presented for your acceptance and will supplement these Terms. In the event of conflict, module-specific terms prevail for that module.
3. User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. You are responsible for safeguarding the password and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to:
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Not violate any laws in your jurisdiction
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
4. Financial Advisory Disclaimer
QuantQuest is a tool designed to assist financial advisers in their practice. We do not provide financial advice directly to end clients. All financial advice provided through our platform is the sole responsibility of the licensed financial adviser using our Service.
Financial advisers using our platform must:
- Hold valid licenses and comply with MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) regulations
- Ensure all advice given is suitable for their clients' circumstances
- Maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by law
- Not rely solely on our tools for investment recommendations
Lead Generation and Assessments
QuantQuest provides personality assessments, quizzes, and public profile pages as lead generation tools for financial advisers. These assessments:
- Are designed for engagement and conversation-starting purposes only
- Do not constitute financial advice, needs analysis, or suitability assessment
- Are not reviewed or endorsed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore
- Should not be relied upon for making financial decisions
The content of personality results, including any mentions of financial concepts, planning approaches, or behavioral tendencies, represents general observations about personality types and does not constitute personalized recommendations for any individual user.
5. Lead Generation Services
5.1 For Financial Advisers
QuantQuest provides lead generation tools including personality assessments, public profile pages, and lead capture features ("Lead Gen Tools"). By using these tools, advisers agree to the following:
Registration and Attestation
By enabling Lead Gen Tools, advisers attest that they:
- Are currently registered with MAS as a Financial Adviser Representative or appointed representative of a licensed/exempt Financial Adviser
- Are in good standing with no pending or active disciplinary proceedings
- Have obtained necessary approvals from their FA firm to use third-party lead generation tools
- Will maintain valid registration throughout their use of Lead Gen Tools
Compliance Responsibilities
Advisers are solely responsible for ensuring their use of Lead Gen Tools complies with all applicable regulations, including:
- MAS Guidelines on Standards of Conduct for Digital Advertising Activities (FSG-03)
- MAS Fair Dealing Guidelines (FSG-G04)
- Financial Advisers Act and Regulations
- Their FA firm's internal compliance policies
When sharing Lead Gen Tools on social media or other channels, advisers must:
- Include appropriate disclaimers as required by their FA firm
- Not represent quiz results or personality assessments as financial advice or product recommendations
- Ensure all content complies with MAS advertising requirements
- Obtain any necessary pre-approvals from their FA firm's compliance department
Lead Handling
Advisers receiving leads through QuantQuest agree to:
- Contact leads only for legitimate financial advisory purposes
- Handle all lead data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
- Respect leads' rights to withdraw consent at any time
- Cease contact within 10 business days of receiving a withdrawal request
- Not share, sell, or transfer lead information to any third party
- Maintain appropriate records of consent and communications
Content Usage
- Quiz content, personality descriptions, and assessment frameworks are proprietary to QuantQuest
- Advisers may share links to their public profile and quiz pages
- Advisers may not modify, misrepresent, or take quiz content out of context
- Screenshots or excerpts of quiz results used in marketing must include appropriate disclaimers
- Any marketing materials using QuantQuest content must comply with MAS advertising requirements
Suspension and Termination
QuantQuest reserves the right to suspend or terminate an adviser's access to Lead Gen Tools if:
- The adviser's MAS registration lapses or is revoked
- The adviser breaches these Terms of Service
- QuantQuest receives complaints about the adviser's conduct
- The adviser's FA firm requests termination of access
5.2 For Public Users (Quiz Participants)
By accessing an adviser's public profile page or completing a quiz or assessment on QuantQuest, you agree to the following:
Nature of Content
- Quiz results and personality assessments are for informational and entertainment purposes only
- Results are based on general personality frameworks and do not account for your individual financial circumstances
- Results do not constitute financial advice, product recommendations, or suitability assessments
- Any financial advice will be provided by the licensed financial adviser, not by QuantQuest
Data Sharing and Contact
If you choose to submit your contact information to request a report or checkup:
- Your quiz results and contact information will be shared with the specific financial adviser whose page you accessed
- The adviser may contact you via WhatsApp, phone calls, SMS, or email to discuss your results and offer financial advisory services
- By providing your contact details and completing verification, you consent to being contacted for financial advisory purposes
- This consent applies even if your phone number is registered on Singapore's Do Not Call (DNC) Registry
Your Rights
- You are not obligated to provide your contact information to receive your quiz results
- You may withdraw consent to be contacted at any time by informing the adviser directly or emailing dpo@quantquest.sg
- Upon withdrawal, the adviser will cease contact within 10 business days
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data under Singapore's PDPA
- You are under no obligation to engage with the adviser or purchase any products or services
No Endorsement
QuantQuest does not endorse, recommend, or guarantee the services of any financial adviser using our platform. Advisers are independent professionals responsible for their own conduct and advice. You should conduct your own due diligence before engaging any financial adviser.
6. Subscription and Billing
Access to certain features of QuantQuest requires a paid subscription. By selecting a subscription plan, you agree to pay QuantQuest the monthly or annual subscription fees indicated for that service.
Subscription terms:
- Payments will be charged on a pre-pay basis
- Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- You can cancel your subscription at any time
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of QuantQuest and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
This includes, without limitation, all quiz content, personality frameworks, assessment methodologies, personality descriptions, and related materials provided through our Lead Gen Tools.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of our Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using QuantQuest, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to this policy.
We are committed to:
- Protecting client data with industry-standard encryption
- Complying with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
- Not selling or sharing personal data with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy
- Maintaining strict access controls and audit logs
You must notify us within 24 hours of becoming aware of any suspected data breach that may affect data collected, processed, or stored through the Service, including lead data obtained through Lead Gen Tools.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither party shall be liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
This limitation specifically includes, without limitation:
- Any damages arising from an adviser's use of Lead Gen Tools
- Any damages arising from communications between advisers and leads
- Any damages arising from financial advice provided by advisers to leads
- Any regulatory penalties imposed on advisers for non-compliant use of the Service
- Any claims by leads or prospective clients against advisers
Each party's total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising from or related to these Terms or the use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
The limitations in this section shall not apply to: (a) liability arising from death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) your payment obligations; or (d) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless QuantQuest and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Service or your use of the Service.
For Financial Advisers, this indemnification specifically includes, without limitation:
- Claims arising from your social media posts, digital advertising, or marketing activities using QuantQuest content or tools
- Regulatory penalties, fines, or enforcement actions by MAS or other authorities related to your use of Lead Gen Tools
- Claims by leads, prospective clients, or any third parties arising from your conduct, advice, or communications
- PDPA violations or complaints related to your handling of lead data obtained through QuantQuest
- Any misrepresentation of QuantQuest tools, quiz results, or personality assessments as providing financial advice
- Claims arising from your failure to obtain necessary approvals from your FA firm
- Any breach of MAS regulations, FA firm policies, or applicable laws in connection with your use of the Service
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including without limitation ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
For advisers using Lead Gen Tools, termination will result in:
- Immediate deactivation of public profile pages
- Removal of quiz links (existing links will show an error page)
- Retention of lead data for the period required by law, after which it will be deleted
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
Before commencing court proceedings, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days following written notice of the dispute.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

15. General Provisions
15.1 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the parties' original intent.
15.2 Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond the reasonable control of that party, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, government orders or regulations, cyberattacks, cloud service provider outages, telecommunications failures, fire, flood, or war. The affected party must notify the other party promptly and use reasonable efforts to mitigate the impact.
15.3 Waiver
No failure or delay by either party in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right or remedy. A waiver of any right or remedy on one occasion shall not be construed as a waiver of that right or remedy on any subsequent occasion.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, provided that the assignee agrees to be bound by these Terms.
15.5 Third-Party Rights
A person who is not a party to these Terms shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 to enforce any provision of these Terms. This clause does not affect any right or remedy of any person which exists or is available apart from that Act.
15.6 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any module-specific terms (including the Public Hub Terms and Conditions), the Privacy Policy, and Legal Disclaimers, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sybil Pte Ltd with respect to the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether oral or written.
15.7 Notices
All notices under these Terms must be in writing and shall be deemed received: (a) if sent by email, on the date of transmission provided no delivery failure notification is received; (b) if sent by registered post, 3 business days after posting. Notices to us should be sent to legal@quantquest.sg. Notices to you will be sent to the email address associated with your QuantQuest account.
15.8 Survival
The following provisions shall survive the termination or expiry of these Terms: Financial Advisory Disclaimer (Section 4), Intellectual Property (Section 7), Limitation of Liability (Section 9), Indemnification (Section 10), Governing Law (Section 12), and General Provisions (Section 15).
